“Give, and it will be given to you.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

(Luke 6:38)

“Give, and it will be given to you.”

The Point has shown incredible generosity this year – even in the midst of so much uncertainty and challenge. We have given over £86,000 to those in need this year!

We have shown so much generosity to others, now it is time to give to support our own vision at home – Following Jesus, Creating Community and Bringing Hope. We are passionate about the church. We believe wholeheartedly that the local church is the hope of the world. As we remain faithful to the vision that God has given us we know we truly will see the transformation of Mid Sussex!

Gift Day Targets 2022:

£25,000 (in one-off gifts)

+ £1,000 (per month increase in regular monthly giving)

What’s the money for?

In the coming year God is calling us to place a fresh emphasis on discipleship – this means every member of the church becoming more confident in using our Holy Spirit inspired gifts and talents, more confident in our understanding of scripture, more confident in sharing our faith with those who don’t know Jesus.

At our recent leadership morning we asked what is distinctive about The Point? What is The Point? Fun was the No.1 response! Then Family and Community. We aim to have more fun in the year ahead, to be a family and to welcome many into our community! Fun means community. Fun means seeing the joy of the Lord break out amongst us. Planning has already begun for The Point Weekend Away 2023 and many other community-building events and gatherings in the year ahead.

We are fully committed to bringing hope to those facing despair in all that we do: through our regular presence in local schools, our Alpha Course (and other courses), our partnership with St Edward’s, our work with local mission partners like Hope and Befriended, or our care and support week in week out through small groups, one to one pastoral care, youth and children’s ministry and Sunday services. We have committed to put the first £5,000 of the money raised this Gift Day into our Fellowship Fund to support those hit hardest by the cost-of-living crisis this winter.

We will be responding as a church on Sunday 30 October and 6 November.

If you are on our database you should have received our Gift Day mailer at our Sunday morning service or via post. If not download below.
