Sunday Mornings
We run youth groups during our 11am service on Sundays. After a time of worship with the adults and children, the youth (school years 7-13) go to the Youth Centre. The morning consists of a social time to catch up, games and teaching. We divide the group into older and younger youth for discussions and prayer.
We also run a Sunday evening service once a month which our youth and young adults love coming to. ‘The SIX’ begins at 6pm on the third Sunday of each month, with extended worship, interactive Bible teaching and lots of time for prayer ministry and encountering God together.
Mid-Week
We run two mid-week discipleship groups for our youth at The Point. Nova is for youth in school years 7 to 9, while Coda is for those in years 10 to 13.
The groups meet on alternate Wednesday evenings, and the sessions provide an opportunity for our young people to build relationships, talk about faith and have some fun and games. Each group also has a social event at least once a term, whether it’s a film night, laser tag or a trip to the beach.
Events, Away Days and Residentials
As well as our regular programme of youth activities, we also take our youth to other special events, away days and overnight residentials.
In the Summer holidays we either attend a Christian festival or take the youth on a mission trip to serve a community in another part of the UK or abroad. For example, in 2021 we took a group to New Day in Norfolk for 5 days, and we have taken groups on mission trips to Hereford, France, Albania and Kenya.
